Jon says "This was my first outing to the prestigious Ullapool Guitar Festival and I had no idea was waiting for me. The only thing I was told is that I would be performing in front of incredible guitarists & guitar entusiasts and playing my set just before the percussive fingerstyle legend Preston Reed - no pressure then haha!. I arrived in Ullapool at 4pm, quickly soundchecked and then started performing with no time to get nervous. The sound was immense and the atmosphere was just incredible - i've never had a an audience listen so intently. With all these elements I was able to perform the best set of my life. Confidence was the key and for the first time it all clicked together and i've come away from the Ullapool Guitar Festival with a great sense of pride and honour. I can see why guitarists keep going back and I can't wait to return!"
